More good news on the pitching front…Of the 7 songs approved for the Carla Williams Opportunity Listing, our Placement Partner at Lofton Creek Records has requested  mp3s for Wendy Willis and Paul Bogart’s I Love These Days and Scott Tonkinson and Lance Carpenter’s Johnny, Jones, & Jesus.  We hope to hear back if there’s further interest in the next few weeks.  Wish them luck!

Also, Congratulations to The Jompson Brothers for taking first prize in  Zac Brown Band’s Sailing Southern Ground Songwriting Contest.  They’re heading out to rock the high seas with Zac and company this weekend.  The entries were really strong so the competition was tight, and the Jompson Brothers will certainly represent the contest well.

We’ve got some great news this go-round … Capitol Records A&R has placed Songspace Member Eric Mizelle’s “Loving on You” on HOLD with Keith Urban! Congrats Eric. We should know something in the next couple weeks. Wish Eric the best!

Additionally, Capitol requested MP3’s for two more songs for this project: Stephen Garrett’s “Why Don’t We” and Chris Adams‘ “I’m Gonna Live.” Congrats to both.

As for the inaugural commercial advertising post, “South African Commercial Looking for Songs,” the project’s Music Supervisor requested the MP3 for Jessica Campbell’s “Beautiful Design” for the commercial’s consideration shortlist. Way to go Jessica.

American Songspace’s Song Placement opportunity listings are centered around two components: 1) Our Personal Relationships within the music industry and 2) Our proprietary Digital Song-Pitching Platform. You’ve been asking for it, so here it is! THE PITCH REPORT is American Songspace’s comprehensive monthly status report – listing and linking the writers and songs that are rising to the top of the Major Label Artist Placement Project heap. Below is the inaugural February Pitch Report! This will give you a good idea of the quality standard for the songs that are being selected, and you’ll enjoy finding out if your song made the cut for the projects that you submitted to.
